Fond Rememberance From A Very Old Friend

by Roger Luther on April 3, 2012

David and Paula became my friends in the mid ’70’s. We both pastored small congregations but had great expectations of the Lord to do something grand in the lives of our people.

We conducted revival meetings in each other’s churches and one evening David preached from Amos 3:12 and titled his sermon “Two Legs or a Piece of An Ear.” His point was that a good shepherd fights for his sheep against a strong emeny. Indeed the Good Shepherd, Jesus, fought and won for us, His sheep.

David fought well as a pastor for those under his care. We were blessed to know him as friend and co-laborer.
