Made the world a better place

Pastor Dave Foster significantly impacted my life in a very positive way. He restored my faith in God, gave me hope, and taught me that church is a loving, fun place. I changed my life for the better in many ways thanks to Dr. Foster’s fun, inspiring, heart-felt lectures every week. I moved to Florida in 2004 and I have not found a church even close to anything like his. My life is better because of Pastor Foster. I am so grateful I was able to learn from him. He will be deeply missed.

David taught me many things but the one that stands out is he taught me to always have a BHAG….a big hairy audacious goal, something that u know you cannot accomplish without God’s help. Dave gave me the motivation to be a public speaker, he gave me the motivation to start a charity and he gave me the motivation to commit to write a book! Dave gave…that’s what I will remember.

I heard the terrible news about David’s death tonight. Shock, disbelief, sadness overcame me. I prayed for the Foster family and our Gathering. It was then that while driving that I saw a brilliant shooting star arc across the dark night. I was comforted knowing that that was David’s message to me- his light is shining bright and will continue to do so in the many, many lives he has touched and spoken the words of God through. God Bless Paula and family, as you are a part of mine and many more. Please let us know how we can ease your pain.

“Pastor Dave”… what can I say. You were the first man of God who really brought me to the Lord. Yes, I had professed to be a Christian since a child, but you helped make Him really REAL You baptised Ernie, Beth, Emily and I all together some 18 years ago in a ‘borrowed’ church on Cross Timbers Dr. You said you held Ernie down a little extra time to make sure it took! That was the most special day of my life. Friend, you will be missed more than words can convey. Our love and support to Paula and the girls. Susie and Ernie Inman
